The Palm Springs Air Museum is a living history museum dedicated to educating the public about the role Air Power played in preserving American liberties and way of life. The Museum preserves, exhibits, and flies aircraft from World War Two, Korea, and the Vietnam Wars. Most of the aircraft are in flyable condition. The museum is located at 745 N Gene Autry Trail, Palm Springs, CA.

The Palm Springs Air Museum is in the process of putting together a rather unique Vietnam POW/MIA display. So far they have collected about 100 bracelets, with the story of the POW/MIA AND (more uniquely) the story of the person who donated/wore the bracelet and when/why, etc.

They are looking for more bracelets and hope that Air Commandos might have some resources to help not only spread the word but perhaps add to their unique collection. If you have a POW/MIA bracelet please contact the museum at membership@palmspringsairmuseum.org or phone 760-778-6262.

This will be a world class display in a soon to be constructed new hangar. The Major Gen. Ken Miles Hanger, will celebrate the heroism, patriotism, personalized stories, military artifacts, and the history that literally changed the world. Korea and Vietnam 55 years later.

Many of the docents are veterans and are willing to share their experiences and sacrifices for the education of future generations. In addition to flyable and static aircraft, the Museum uses permanent and temporary exhibits, related artifacts, artwork, and library sources to perpetuate American History. Children 5 and under and all active military with ID (and their immediate families) receive free admission. Non Profit Tax ID # 33-0615350.
