RMT Inc., d/b/a Black Diamond Advanced Technology, designs, engineers and manufactures fully rugged computers and accessories primarily for military applications. Black Diamond Advanced Technology provides the Modular Tactical System (MTS), a lightweight, wearable electronic platform which is optimized for foot-mobile precision targeting, C4ISR, situational awareness, and other mission specific applications. MTS takes a modular approach, deconstructing the computer and communications system to fully integrate it into the warfighter’s equipment ensemble, regardless of the mission.

MTS allows a warfighter to transition from tactical computing operation to direct combat engagement in seconds with a wearable system that is incorporated into a plate-carrier system, an assault pack or carry bag. A warfighter never needs to stop, put down gear and lose time in a stationary position while powering up or repacking equipment. MTS provides interoperability with equipment found on the battlefield today and is highly adaptable for specialized missions requiring application-specific equipment, including targeting (JTACs, TACPs, CCTs and Forward Observers), combat medic, explosive ordnance disposal, unmanned systems control, combat weather and military intelligence. MTS can often reduce the equipment load for these missions by eliminating redundant batteries and displays.

In addition to the MTS, Black Diamond Advanced Technology also builds the SwitchBack™ ultra-rugged mobile PC, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Digital Army Computer System (DACS), and applies its core technology in custom-engineered hardware solutions. Black Diamond Advanced Technology proudly supports the Air Commando Association and Our Troops.
