Looking to join. Not affiliated with any chapter. Left Cannon AFB last year and now at Ft. Benning on a special duty assignment. Which chapter can I affiliate with to accomplish that portion of my application? Thank you for the help.
Air Commando
Anyone looking to join the ACA does not need to be affiliated with a specific chapter, you may select the option “National Chapter” and change if you move to an area that has a chapter nearby. Our chapters provide an Air Commando opportunities to connect and network with other Air Commandos but we recognize that we do not have chapters in enough areas to engage with every member. Thank you for your comments and we look forward to counting you among our fellow members.

To Whom it May Concern,
I believe my father, MSgt Ralph Ben Bahr Sr. USAF Retired, is or was a member of your Association, he passed on 25 May 2022 at his home in Tampa, Florida surrounded by family. He was buried with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) at 1000 on Friday, 12 August 2022.
We are asking that “Air Commando” be engraved as part of his “Terms of Endearment” on his headstone. ANC is saying they may need proof he was part of an Air Commando unit. How would I be able to provide ANC proof as they requested. My father was in Vietnam from 1965 to 1966, he maintained U-10s (Helio) and A-1Es (I think, since I have a picture of him standing in front of one). Believe he was stationed at Da Nang.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I have only 9 days left before I have to submit his headstone for approval.
Sincere Thanks!

Sir,
I reached out several ACA members who indicated they were associated with U-10s and/or A-1Es on their membership record. I gave them your comments including your email. I sincerely hope someone can furnish more information to help you and your family. Unfortunately, the ACA does not have official military records, so all we can hope for is one of our members knew your father or knows more information to help you.
